The space
The Outpost Luxury Treehouse has been a lifelong dream and labor of love, handcrafted with reclaimed Timber and vintage salvaged finds by Husband and wife design team Alexa and Aaron Airoldi. Designer finishes, soft linens, Pendleton blankets, and an eclectic mix of antique rustic alpine lodge decor, in a magnificent setting among the treetops, looking out over Alerin Farm Cattle pastures, Private ski trails and Green Mountain Views. Cathedral great room with GAS FIREPLACE ( we turn it on from October -May) main heat: Renai gas heater, full kitchen: full-size gas stove, under mount Mini wine/ fridge, small Ice Maker, ( no freezer/but we provide outdoor beverage station for iced beverages) Antique Farmhouse sink, Bathroom, 1 king on main floor, 2 queens in the sleeping loft tucked under the Eve, 2 story deck with exterior dining table, exterior bar with barstools and covered porch, with private parking and use of fire pits. There is an exterior cooler for beer on the porch. The Treehouse is a natural retreat space, located in the woods ..... you may see bugs outside, you will feel Pine needles drop on the outside decks ....... this is as much about the setting in nature as it is the vintage Aesthetic. There is NO AIR-CONDITIONING, but there are double French doors that open with screens and create a draft. We have 4 plug-in fans for cooling if needed and screens on all French doors. The Treehouse is well insulated and under tree cover and remains cool in summer. This is a TV and WIFI free zone, but cell reception works great and you can use your cell as a hotspot easily to activate laptop or tablet etc....... an orange wireless Bluetooth speaker is included in the rental, for music. There is a Weber Charcoal grill at the fire pit, for guest use. This place is perfectly equipped to handle a couples getaway for two, a family with children.... or a few friends!

In the winter, that means winter boots and 4x4 drive to get up the mountain......that being said you may see bugs, hear animals at night, and maybe even rediscover yourself by the fire !

Winter rentals : Driving to the treehouse in the winter: we are located 1.8 miles at the top of Spaulding Rd on Spaulding Mtn, the road is steep, and the drive down into the treehouse is a hill as well, for driving in snowy conditions a 4x4 or AWD vehicle with snow tires would be preferred to get up the road, in lieu of bad weather road conditions. The road and driveway are fully plowed, salted and maintained, But sometimes Vermont winter conditions, can make it difficult, so plan accordingly.
